Django Unchained Soundtrack includes Southern Rap


Django Unchained is the epic love story of a freed black man who works with a bounty hunter during slavery times and strives to free his wife. This is an American western film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The film stars Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington and Samuel L. Jackson. The film was released on December 25, 2012 in North America. Django Unchained is set in the antebellum era of the Deep South and Old West, the film follows a freed slave (Foxx) on his mission to rescue his wife from a cruel and charismatic plantation owner. The multi-talented singer/actor/comedian/producer cooks up a western inspired production, which captures the essence of the film while modernizing the style.

The movies sound track featuring music from popular southern rap artist. The song “100 Black Coffins” by Rick Ross was recorded exclusively for the sound track of the movie The song brings a gritty track that foreshadows the bloodshed to come in the film. For such an epic movie it is only right that the soundtrack be equally great.

This is a must see movie! The film should surely get Jamie Foxx and Quinton Tarrentino nominated for an Oscar and many other awards. The film made over 30 million dollars opening week. Even though the majority of the songs on the sound track are not hip hop the sound track thought to be an epic compilation of soft rock classics.
